Chai Concentrate for Iced Oat Milk Chai Lattes

Ingredients
8 cups water
8–10 black chai tea bags or loose leaf tea

2–4 tbsp masala chai powder
1 large knob fresh ginger, sliced
6 green cardamom pods, crushed
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
6 black peppercorns
Small pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Last (optional)-add sweetener 2–4 tbsp brown sugar/maple syrup/honey


Instructions
Bring water and all spices to a simmer for 10–20 min.
Add tea bags and masala chai powder. Steep 5–10 min.
Stir in sugar and pinch of salt.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Strain well through fine mesh or cheesecloth.

Add in prefered sweetener (optional)
Cool and refrigerate in a large jar.

To Serve
Mix 1:1 chai concentrate with oat milk or creamer over ice.
Sweeten more if desired.
